Electrical Automobile Charging Stations Susceptible to Cyber Assaults: Nitin Gadkari

In a written reply to Lok Sabha, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stated the Indian Laptop Emergency Response Crew (CERT-In), which is remitted to trace and monitor cyber safety incidents in India, acquired reviews of vulnerabilities in merchandise and purposes associated to electrical automobile charging stations.

Replying to a separate question, the street transport and highways minister stated Rs. 147 lakh was disbursed as compensation to victims of hit-and-run instances in present fiscal 12 months until February.

The ministry has notified the Compensation to Victims of Hit and Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022.

It offers for elevated compensation to victims of hit-and-run accidents, Rs. 50,000 (in case of grievous damage) and Rs. 2,00,000 (in case of loss of life) together with detailed process for availing this compensation.

Replying to a different query, Gadkari stated the ministry has set the next goal of 12,200 km for building of Nationwide Highways throughout present monetary 12 months as in comparison with earlier three monetary years.

“The goal of building of NHs for monetary 12 months 2023-24 has not but been finalized,” he added.
